20 September 2013 i want to sell my 8 years old scooter.
i have to charge vat.
if yes then what is the percentage?
pleas help.

23 September 2013 Your question leaves some doubts. Which state you are in? and are you just an individual or a firm/co.If it is just a private vehicle no need to charge any vat on it,because you are not registered under vat.For used vehicles,in many states,there is reduced tax with some conditions,say @5%. If the scooter is listed in the assets of a business firm then charge 5%...mjk
