10 February 2011 I have a client company having 18 branches all over India. The company is liable to tax audit and hence is also liable to vat audit. I want to know whether VAT audit will be applicable only to those branches which have crossed the limit of 40 lakhs or all the 18 branches will be liable to conduct VAT audit.

11 February 2011 Applicability of VAT audit depends as per provisions of state VAT Act. There is no relation between tax audit and VAT audit.
