I agree with Mr Sriram. However,the audit work varies from dealer to dealer.Works contract,manufacturing,whole sale and retail trading,import,export,leasing,etc,each need a different approach. The main point to be considered is purchase and sale,input and output taxes,balance to be paid.Documents such as books of accounts,returns,supportig invoices and final accounts. All these are to be scrutinised.This is in brief. Any way, one should have sufficient mastery over the subject to make a certifying audit....mjk
