25 August 2013 Dear experts we are dealer in Delhi having business of wood . We want to buy a DG Set from madras in our RC DG set is not mentioned can we still buy the same on the basis of c forms or we have to amend our RC .
Kindly advice on the issue

25 August 2013 For generation of power, c form can be issued and hence kindly amend your cst form B certificate by adding gen set.

25 August 2013 Under sub sec 3 of sec8 of CST Act 56 you can make interstate purchases of a DG set for own use,but, you have to get it entered in the CST RC. Even now you can file an application informing the registering authority i.e. VAT officer of your requirement and request him to amend the RC. This is done in many states on line by the dealer and later approoved by the vat office concerned. If this is possible,amend the commodities list in your RC on-line and file a letter to the vat officer to approove it. Once this action is completed you can draw a'C' form for this purchase.Department web site will not allow issue of a 'C' form for a prior date purchase. So,first make amendment done and later go for the purchase of a DG set......
