04 February 2012 What is the maximum limit on Value of Product which can be imported as Free sample? Is there any specific limit on the price or quantity of it?

In case of import product value below Rs.1,00,000 & without the payment of any forex. Can invoicing it as free sample from the foreign party is possible? Is this a loop hole or is there a connection between the Customs & RBI to check this?
