Valid PAN card for Transporter

Sir,
I am in transport business. I want to know that as per the new provisions of TDS, whether TDS is applicable or not.
Further, my name is Rajesh Kumar and name of my transport firm is M/s. Ramjilal & Sons. The PAN card is in the name of Rajesh Kumar. There is no PAN card in the name of M/s. Ramjilal & Sons.
Moreover, I am hiring trucks / lorry from outside under GRs in the above firm name.
Under this situation, please let me know whether TDS is liable to be deducted. If no TDS is to be deducted, then what documentary proof is to be submitted.
Please help me.

W. e. f. 01.10.2009 no TDS on transport if the person has a valid PAN.
So u will have to give a PAN card copy to all the parties.

In case if PAN is not available, TDS @ 1%(HUF,Ind transporter), 2%(other cases) will be deducted upto 31.3.10 and from 01.04.10 it will be 20%
