26 April 2014 Dear experts, Im writing ipcc may 2014 exams. Im concerned about the coverage of time and using of shortcuts, particularly in accounts and costing which are more time consuming. Can the general shortcuts be used in the exam to save time? like,, accounts - a/cs, working note-w.n, brought down b/d.. because we in general are used to it. and also how about the formulae in costing? like,, PV ratio instead of profit volume ratio., Kd = I (1-T) / NP. do they deduct marks for such use of shortcuts. please advise and help..

26 April 2014 Yes u can use general shortcuts, coz examiner also know the value of time in exam hall. But avoid the shortcuts which r not commonly used.
