19 December 2009 hi frnds i have just completed cpt in dec 2009 iam expecting to get 185 and above marks can i expect a rank .whether iam eligible to join big 4 audit firms if get a good percentage in ipcc and rank in cpt?is big 4 audit firm is good are or not can any one pls suggest me iam waiting for ur valuble suggestion reply me soon plzzzzzz frnds

19 December 2009 If the things happen as you think about the marks; you will be among the list of rankholders.

With the help of "some known chartered accountants" you can approach big audit firms if you get good percentage in IPCC.

There are several alternatives available to a CA to make his career. If you wish to go for audit; definitely training with big firms is required. It is not necessary that these should of first 4.There are some good firms also where you can join.

After introduction and implementation of capacity building of CA firms; now-a-days there are many such firms where you can get proper training in audit.

But still you have to go to industrial/big cities to have proper exposure.
