Urgent regarding ppf account

07 November 2014 Pravin K Shah ( karta)has a PPF (Huf) A/ In Sbi . In a car Accident karta is Death . His Nominee is his wife Chetna Shah.
Now Chetna Shah want to close PPf A/c In SBI
SbI Make DD In Name Of Nominee Chetna Shah HuF
Is it Right Or Cheque has in name Of Chetna Shah Only
Because In Pan Card there Mention Name Of Pravin K Shah
So Nominee has Change Name in Pan Card Or Sbi Has Made A wrong Cheque
So Plz Reply urgent

07 November 2014 Ask SBI to show you the nominee form. When it is SBI, chances of mistake are very less, but still you check and verify. It is highly possible that Late Pravcin K Shah might have been willing that nominee should hold it as HUF and not individually?????

07 November 2014 I repeat, check the form with SBI. Please dont rely on the xerox in your file. And if SBI record is showing the name, make a written request to SBI to issue the proceeds in the name of Chetana Shah. If SBI officials are not responding, imediately make a complaint to SBI customer care. If they are not responding go to Bank Ombudsmen.
