Dear Sir,
My actual return of Income for A.Y 2008-09 is Rs. 491770/- and refund of Rs. 36000/- is due. But as per the return e-filed by me through income tax online software the total income of Rs. 1248272/- was shown in the total income column. But tax working as per Computation of income was same as the actual one. We dont know how it happenned. As the intimation u/s 143(1) is received to me i came to know about it. As they have taken the income of Rs. 1248272/- instead of Rs. 491770/-. Can any one tell me the solution about this also i dont have the hard copy of the return e-filed by me.
Kindly tell some solution about it.........

Analyse the difference and then verify as to where you had not considered the amount. I am of the belief that you had missed out on the depreciation part specially where you have to separately mention the amount in the bp worksheet. Depreciation is considered in the p&l, schedule and in the bp worksheets. plz analyse the difference and then i hope you shall be able to get the point

Then you may file a rectification application before the jurisdictional ITO under section 154(2)(b).

if you want hard copy of the Acknowledgement you e filed ,you can download it from your email inbox (when you given while u e filed the return)password is your pan no. and date of birth in lower case and take print out.
