I am a final student. I cleared PE-II in 1st attempt in May 2007. I am taking transfer and have some queries. Please read it and take time to answer them :
1.Can I use downloaded form 109 from institute's website for filling transfer details and form 102,103 for re-registration. I am asking this because the place for Official stamp of insti. in the forms are blank in the print-out of form. Is it ok to use that forms or is it that i have to take only the forms which are handed over to me by insti.'s office and contains official stamp?
2.From the date of transfer, within how many days my re-registration documents should reach institute?
3.Is there any restriction of number of transfers i can take during my 3 years of articleship?
4.I am doing my articleship in a firm in pune and my principal has got his membereship no. from western region.Since i planning to do articles from my home which comes under central region and since I am a central region registered student,i.e.-my registration no. begins with "CRO",where should i send my documents-to the western region or to the central region?
5.Is there any restriction of completion of six months of articleship befire taking first transfer or is it just a rumour?

Thanks for your opinion..as a final student...i have already taken that route...i am in pune so i contacted pune office and those who lives in pune knows the condition of icai office here...i have also sent a mail to student's center of ICAi but not got any reply from it..maybe they have a lot of other works to do...that's why i have turned towards this platform...i hope i will get some genuine help here.

1. you can't use downloaded form as i was not allowed to do the same. Online forms are for our reference. 3. There is no restriction about no. of transfer during articleship period. 5. It is true that you have to undergo articleship with a firm for a minimum period of 6 months otherwise this 6 months articlehip will be invalid i.e. you have to do articleship with other firm for 6 motnhs more. But i have had this query raised to a fellow member of insti. personally...he told me there is nothing like completion of six months of articleship...people here have also told me that they have taken transfers in 14 days also....i mean to say are you sure about ur answers???

1. yes u can use download form 109,102,103 from the inst. website. 2. u can submit the transfer form within one month without any extra formalities and fee, and up to three month with Rs 200 fee and a application signed by ur principle on letter head disclosing the reason, and upto 6 month with Rs. 1000 fee and all of ur training record. and after that u can't submit the form. 3. there r no restirction of no. of transfer. 4. u only can sent ur communication letter to central region (Kanpur) & exam head office(New Delhi). 5. there r no restriction to complete 6 month training under one firm.
