27 March 2014 With respect to A. Y. 2010-11, Loss Return was filed on 1/10/10 (due date 31/10/10)
Refund claimed 1,000
Refund was recd alongwith Interest on 31/07/2011 for 800 (800 - exclu int)
154 Rectification was filed for balance 200
154 Order recd for 200 with interest on 15/08/11
Notice u/s 143(2) recd on 31/08/11
Revised Return filed on 25/03/2012 claiming further TDS of 400
Refund received of 400 on 30/06/13

Assessment Order u/s 143(3) recd on 21/02/14

Now in Assessment Order, disallowance for one expenditure was made for which CIT Appeals was filed on March 10, 2014.

However Tax Calculation in Assessment Order shows that credit for TDS for only 1000 was given instead of 1400 and 156 notice issued. What can be done with respect to short TDS Credit in Assessment Order?

When asked the staff/officer replied that the TDS Credit is not there in their system for 400, hence it comes in the order like this.

What can be done now?

28 March 2014 I assune that u have not got credit of 400/- and am ignoring rest of the facts. Simply tel the deductor who deduct tds to revise the tds return and get credit

29 March 2014 400 is partly there in 26AS and partly claimed on basis of tds certificates, but Assessment Order does not show that. it gives tds credit only for 1000 instead of 1400 whereas 1400 in actual is refunded by the dept earlier only

should 154 rectification be filed?
