07 October 2014 Sir, when we r writing the provision of section, is it necessary to quote the subsection of that section, or writing the main section no.only for all other subsection provision is correct.

One of my frnd told me not writing the subsection no.and writing merely the section no. Will cut whole provision and marks accordingly.
Please suggest.

07 October 2014 First of all understand that writing the section in itself a good method to fetch extra marks. Write section only when you are 100% sure.

Further it is not necessary to quote sub section in exam. If u r sure you Can quote sub section.

You are advised to quote the section itself in the following manner:

Provisions related to appointment of first auditor are given in section 139 of the companies act 2013.
