Dear Sir, I had filed form 26Q for Ist Quarter fy 2013-14. While preparing the return I have tally all challan with challan file downloaded from NSDL. Accordingly Acknowledgement issued from TIN also reflecting "0" unmatched challan out of totol 48 Challans.
To I have received intimation from Traces demanding Rs. 10560/- stating that one challan is unmatched. I have downloaded the justification report which is stating the same. Whereas challan no. and date mentioned in justification report is shows amount matched on tin site, when I checked again.
I dont understand why cpc made a challan unmatched who is matched on NSDL site.

Yes, it is showing unmatced for that particular challan. However acknowledgement issued by TIN is showing 0 unmatced challan and I have also filed return after tally them with challan file available at TIN site.

This kind of mismatch between the CPC intimation and TIN site can happen due to timing issues or data synchronization delays.
Hereโs what you can do as a remedy:
1. **Download Form 16A for that challan** from TRACES and check if it matches the TDS deducted and deposited details. If Form 16A shows correct credit, then the TDS is considered credited properly.
2. **Keep the acknowledgment from TIN site showing zero unmatched challans safely.** This serves as evidence that you filed correctly.
3. If CPC still shows unmatched challan and sends a notice, **respond to the notice attaching:**
* Copy of Form 26Q filed * TIN acknowledgment showing zero unmatched challan * Form 16A of the challan in question * Screenshot from NSDL/TIN site showing challan details
4. You can also write to CPC through the TRACES portal or use the grievance redressal system at NSDL/TIN to escalate the issue.
Usually, once this is clarified with documentation, the mismatch is resolved.
