19 March 2010 as i am working with pvt ltd co, Co declared dividend and transfered to dividend a/c with bank . few shareholders cheques are not realised in bank whether that amount to be transfered to unpaid dividend


pl suggect procedure and accounting entries if any

19 March 2010 dividend not claimed up to 30days form the date of deceleration, then within seven day from the date of above 30days transfer to special account with schedule bank "unpaid dividend a/c of ------ pvt co. ltd.

accounting entries - make a contra entry transfer to dividend amt to special a/c.

19 March 2010 That amount to be transferred to a special account in scheduled bank within 7 days from the date of expiry of 30 days time limit...Pls refer section 205A of Companies Act...
