09 April 2014 Pvt ltd company, can give to uniform allowance to employee if the company not having any specific uniform only casual dress allow in working time? If yes, please give me limit.

10 April 2014 Incase there is no uniform and uniform allowance given, then the complete uniform allowance fully taxable

10 April 2014 Law is silent in this case.So, if the co. is giving uniform allowance and expenditure made by you as casual dress assuming unform the expense for unform reimbursed is exempted U/S 10(14)

10 April 2014 Law is not silent here. no law says causal dress is treated as uniform. uniform will always interpret with common dress code for employees. so here no need to taking advantage of law silence, so causal dress are not uniforms, it will be taxable
