Hi,
kindly make me understand why there is service tax and tds both on a service

Service tax & Income Tax (TDS) are altogether different. While Income Tax is Direct Tax, Service tax is an indirect Tax.Service tax is applicable, as the name suggest, only if there involves exchange of services.
On the other hand, TDS is applicable if there is any income earned or paid in pursuant of any agreement/contract and it exceed certain amount which covered under the ambit of TDS provision under Income Tax Act.
