Tuition income under which itr form

28 October 2011 Dear Sir,

I run my own private tuition classes for some students. I do not have any other source of Income. Which ITR form will I have to file to show my Income. Also confirm whether it can be shown as Income from other sources or it has to be shown as Income from Profession and in which ITR form . I have not maintained any book of accounts for this.

28 October 2011 depending on amount the same can be shown as professional income, or income from other sources.

29 October 2011 You can either file ITR-1 Sahaj or ITR-2,according to me you shall file ITR-2 for income from other sources.....in case you treat tution income as income from profession,the you are required to file ITR-4
