Transport allowance

Hello experts my client is giving 800 as transport allowance but the limit is exempt upto 1600.whether they can file in their individual ITR transport allowance as 1600 and reduce their basic by such amount to claim exemption.

No,they have to file extent of allowance i.e. Rs.800/- only.
