Whether any intimation is required to be sent to ROC by Public company for transfer of shares.

No.The only requirement is execution of transfer deed.

Agree with expert. At the time of share transfer no need to intimate roc. However at the time of filing Annual return of the company you have to give the details of share transfer which takes place during the year.
Also update your share transfer register after approval of share transfer in the board meeting.
