### Standard procedure:
1. **Visit the existing post office** where the RDA is currently maintained.
2. Submit a **written request/application** for transfer of the RDA to the new post office (in the new city).
3. The existing post office **sends the transfer request** through their controlling head post office to the new post office.
4. The new post office **issues a fresh RDA account number** for your recurring deposit, and the balance is transferred there.
5. You will be notified when the transfer is complete.

* Original **RDA passbook** or account details.
* Valid **proof of identity** (Aadhar, PAN, Passport, etc.).
* Valid **proof of new address** in the target city.
* Transfer application/request letter.
