Yes, you can give both communication and permanent address same and your home town. But if any possible then better to giving of communication address where you staying, because of you received any communication from ICAI speed means your directly receive communication from ICAI. Sir my father is actually taking retirement because of his health conditions and he requires me to stay with my brother now who is working in other city. Since I will be staying in a hostel there I wish to provide my hometown address only. Is it possible to get transfer on this ground?

Thanks for sharing your situation. Here’s what I can tell you:
---
### 1. **Regarding Address in Forms:**
* If you’re applying for transfer on the **“transfer of parents”** ground, **ideally you should provide the new city address where your parents have shifted** as your permanent and correspondence address. * However, if your father is retiring due to health reasons and you will actually be staying with your brother in another city (where he works), but your permanent home is still your hometown, you can mention:
* **Permanent Address:** Your hometown (since that is your official home). * **Correspondence Address:** The city where your brother lives and you’ll be staying (hostel address).
---
### 2. **On the Transfer Ground:**
* ICAI generally allows transfer **only if your parents themselves have shifted** to another city (minimum 50 km away), as per the regulations. * Staying with your brother because of your father’s retirement **may not qualify as “transfer of parents” ground**, since the parents themselves have not shifted. * This means your transfer request **on this ground alone might be rejected**.
---
### 3. **What You Can Do:**
* You can **explain your situation to ICAI** with proper documents — like medical certificates for your father’s health, your brother’s job proof, and your hostel address. * Apply for transfer on **“other justifiable circumstances”** ground along with medical reasons, which ICAI might consider sympathetically. * It’s a good idea to get **written consent from your current principal** as well.
---
### Summary:
* Address in the forms can be your hometown permanent address and your brother’s city as correspondence address. * Transfer on “transfer of parents” ground may be difficult unless your parents have actually shifted. * Apply citing medical hardship + other circumstances, providing full proof.

If you want, I can help you draft the transfer application letter or guide you through the procedure!
