Transfer of articleship

17 October 2014 I am doing my articleship in bangalore. Almost about to complete my 2nd year of articles. I want to relocate to my home town, my parents are staying there, since my father isnt keeping well much. Would that form a valid reason to get transfer? On seeking their approval, would a doctor's certificate be also rrquired or can do without that? Please guide. Thank you.

17 October 2014 well as such it is not covered under the regulation 56(1). However, you may still apply along with a consent letter from your principal. ICAI president has the discretion to grant transfers. Documents to evidence the need for transfer should be attached with the application including the doctor's certificate etc
