09 June 2013 i want to take transfer in 2nd year of articleship and my principle allowed me to take transfer - i just want to know that can i take transfer 50 km away from principle office or other restrcitions will apply? please help me out

09 June 2013 Your principals acceptance for transfer of article ship is secondary

in 2nd year of articleship you need to take prior approval from icai to take transfer from article ship..

Generally icai will allow student to take transfer from article ship if he/she having any reasons/grounds as prescribed in below notification

09 June 2013 The articled assistants are required, in the first instance, to get the consent of the Institute before getting Form 109 signed by the Principal, in their own interest.

The request, on any one or more of the aforesaid grounds, of an articled assistant on a plain paper with recommendations of the Principal for transfer / termination of articleship accompanied by evidence/proof (self-attested by the articled assistant) to the satisfaction of the Institute be made.
