22 June 2013 Trade License is a license issued by the municipal corporation which gives you permission to carry on the particular trade or business for which it is issued. It does not grant ownership of property or permission for any other activity than for which it is issued.

22 June 2013 Yes, for taking registration under Value added tax,Central sales tax Act , for obtaining Import Export Code certificate etc, Trade Licence is mandatory.

22 June 2013 1.Is it required to get Trade License before get register in sales tax dept?
2.A dealer having TIN in Delhi and deals in cosmetics goods ,is also required trade license for trading of such goods.
