To start a partnership firm you have to execute a partnership deed on stamp paper. Afterwards if you wish you can get it registered under the Indian Partner ship Act.

The Partnership Deed is needed to be prepared. No registrations as such are required.
It is mutual understanding between the partners as regards the procedures to be followed if conflicts arise in future. It is always advisable and beneficial to get the Deed "Notarised" in order to be enforceable in the eyes of law.

Registration of partnership is not compulsory in india except maharashtra.
