02 March 2011 Sir I am from orissa. we are a partnership firm dealing in sale of musical equipment & instruments which we purchase from kolkata. we are processing the acquisition of TIN & CST number. our lawyer says that we will also get a way bill number with which we will nt need to make way bills each time we purchase goods for resale from kolkata. But our supplier in kolkata says that he is not aware of such a provision. Sir, please throw some light on this matter

03 March 2011 Sorry, never heard of waybill no. Waybill number will vhange everytime you receive the goods. Waybills are issued by the transporter. Department has nothing to do with it.
