26 February 2012 I have registered my firm at Jaipur and have taken a civil work at orrisa. what should I do for getting exemptions for vat.

04 April 2012 VAT is state level matter and why the state in which you are rendering services or executing work will loose the revenue. So, there is no way to escape VAT. Yes you can set off the same and file your return in Orissa as you have to take registration there for VAT
