I,m CA final Student and going to be attempt both group exam in Nov 2015. I,ve not taken any coaching classes till now but still is this possible to get rank in CA final exams just doing hard work (Self Study) in short time period 5-6 month??

Coaching is not compulsory for getting a rank. It depends upon your caliber mainly and how you cop-up with the subjects. The syllabus is vast and requires practical exposure also. Decide your strong and weak areas and start study in such a manner that you will not feel over stressed at any point of time. For guidance you may discuss with the friends appearing or have appeared in the Exam and share the experience. Initially it is very difficult to adhere the schedule but it has to be followed. Your dedication towards the studies will definitely provide you the success.
I have been coverd through the ICAI books (DT, IDT, CA act 2013) approx 75% syllabus and expected to complete it by 30th Apr 2015. For Rest subjects 4 months is enough time or should be change in my strategy.
Any further suggestion that could be help to achieving my goal.

Hey! Your dedication and plan already look solid, and yes—getting a rank with self-study in 5-6 months is definitely possible, especially if you’re focused and smart about your approach. Here are some tips to help you maximize your time and boost your chances:
---
### 1. **Make a Realistic Study Plan**
* Break down each subject into topics and assign deadlines. * Prioritize subjects and topics based on weightage and your strengths/weaknesses. * Set weekly targets and track progress strictly.
### 2. **Quality Over Quantity**
* Instead of just reading, **practice problems, case studies, and past exam papers**. * Focus on **understanding concepts** rather than rote learning. * Solve mock tests and analyze your mistakes to improve.
### 3. **Use ICAI Materials Efficiently**
* Stick to ICAI study material and RTPs (Revision Test Papers). * Avoid getting lost in too many reference books—focus on core content.
### 4. **Revision is Key**
* Reserve at least 1.5 to 2 months before exams for thorough revision. * Make short notes or flashcards for quick revisions.
### 5. **Time for Rest and Health**
* Avoid burnout; take short breaks during study sessions. * Keep some time for exercise, good sleep, and healthy food.
### 6. **Seek Peer Support**
* Discuss tough topics with friends or online forums. * Join online study groups or discussions if you want.

### Final Thought:
Since you have already covered 75% of some subjects, use this momentum and keep pushing! For the remaining subjects, focus on the most important topics and don’t get overwhelmed.
If you want, I can help you draft a detailed weekly timetable or share some high-yield topics for your exams.
