We got the notice u/s 143 of AY2007-08, i want to know upto which date AO has to pass assesssment order?

As per section 153(1) assessment proceedings have to be completed within 21 months from the end of the assessment year. Therefore AO has to serve the assessment order for the assessment year 2007-08 on or before 31st December 2009.
