11 July 2025 Sir,
Latest Conso file generated today but on clicking "create file" button, it is showing error code
"T-FV-1040 Consolidated File is mandatory for validating a Correction File". This is TDS return correction for Q4_26Q_FY_2024-25 and i am using RPU Version 5.7 downloaded from https://tinpan.proteantech.in/downloads/e-tds/eTDS-download-regular.html

Please guide, why this error is showing.

12 July 2025 The key is to ensure you have downloaded the correct consolidated file for the specific return you are trying to amend. If the Conso file doesn't match the original return or the previous correction, or if you select the wrong one during validation, you will encounter the T-FV-1040 error. When you file a correction statement, the FVU compares the data in your correction file with the data in the Conso file to ensure the corrections are valid and accurately reflect the changes from the original return. Download the Correct Consolidated File from TRACES.
