Dear Team, We have a filed form 27Q for transaction sale of immovable property by NRI to resident, resident deducted TDS @ 20.8%, filed return with NRI pan and got error intimation with short deduction demand showing NRI PAN as inoperative even his Aadhaar was linked to PAN.
Please suggest the ways to resolve this error.

Check PAN status
Online PAN Verification
Step-1. Go to home page of 'e-Filing' Portal https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/
Step-2. Click on 'Verify Your PAN' from left hand panel.
Step-3. Enter the PAN, Full Name (As per PAN), Date of Birth and Mobile number and click on 'Continue'.
Step-4. Enter OTP and click on 'Validate' button.
