We have not deposited the tax for qtr 3 2012,
can we file the return without depositing the tax? and deposit tax later on.

No u can not............ As we have to give challan details in TDS Return.

If you have not deducted tax and not deposited then no need to file the return.
But you have filed return of earlier quarter i.e 1st or 2nd quarter or you are going to file 4th quarter return then you have to must file nil return for 3rd quarter.
