20 August 2014 Sir,
Ajaya Patra, one of my client, I had file his IT return for the F/Y 2007-08 & 2008-09 (Manually). There was an outstanding amounting of Rs. 10,230 due to Interest not account for, for late filling & TDS mismatch. For his personal problem He cannot file his Return for the FY-2009-10 & 2010-11.But after filling return for the F/y 2011-12 & 2012-13 (Online ), a latter is received from CPC that your outstanding demand of Rs.10,230 is adjusted against your refund claimed. 1 year have passed but He cannot get his refund till date. Pls guide me to get it.

20 August 2014 once you made application to concern AO with relevant TDS certificate, AO is bound to pass rectification order.

20 August 2014 if your previous demand is pending and you not deposit the same then IT deptt. adj the current year refund with past year liability.
