19 October 2009 Hi there..is there any changes in TDS rate from October'2009 or its same as it was prior. actually my TDS software showing just half of the TDS rate from october'2009. for example TDs rat on rent is 20% but it is showing 10%. please advice if any changes in TDs rate ?

19 October 2009 Thanks buddy for the information provided by you... one more thing if Annual rent is 100000/- lac on building..what would be the rate of TDs ??

chart i downloaded from the link given by you...it show threshold limit...The point that must be exceeded to begin producing a given effect or result or to elicit a response.. it means tax 10% would be applicable only if annual Rent paid is more than 120000 lack corrrect?

19 October 2009 Yes. You understood correctly. It is applicable if Rent exceeds Rs. 120000/- during the year.
