07 January 2011 One of my client had got PAN & TAN in the name of firm by producing Shop registration certificate by mistake though his business is Properitorship. He also had deducted TDS on salary & paid the group in the wrong TAN, but did nt file 24Q, but issued Form 16

He came to realise only now that mistake. Can he make this rectification of error by sending application to Income Tax dept for change status as properitorship by producing PAN # of properitoship

Let me know how to do same.

08 January 2011 Apply for correction in pan and tan and thereafter submit corrected tds return. represent your case with your AO/Tds Officer.

14 January 2011 Yes. Apply for PAN & TAN correction and further Challan correction and intimate to A.O
