27 September 2013 My uncle has recently started a business on trading of Tyre and other accessories for heavy vehicle.
Need to know on TDS & service tax applicability in this regards...

29 September 2013 If your uncle is in receipt of commission income, then service tax shall be applicable if his receipts are more than Rs 10 lakhs. The liability to deduct TDS on such income shall be of the payer. So thats not your uncle's lookout.

Refer to section 192 to 201 for his liability to deduct on payments made by him.
