Dear Membe
We have clearing & services provider company in kandla..my quary is about transport bill..we have use hitachi in port for shifting cargo..so party given bill in tonnage instead of hours..so my quary is tds deducted or not..we have mention our account books which head hire chaarges or transport.. and party have pan number so i am not deduct tds of this bill..i am right or not..please advice

if it is transportation for goods then it doesn't change the status that if transpoter is providing PAN no TDS is applicable.
So whether bill is in Tonnage or in hours if it is for goods transportation and PAN is provided no TDS w.e.f. 1 Oct 2009.

Thanks for good resopnce but in my quary about creditor use hitachi machine in kandla port for use material load into the truck & empty truck by hitachi machine.in this regards creditor given me transport bill in tonnage instead of hitachi hire charges.and they given bill for transportation..and not log sheet attched..
