TDS on Salary paid to Domestic helper

18 January 2023 I am Individual resident & having investment income and i also have hired staffs to maintain and look after my property i.e. like housekeeper, personal accountant, etc. As my personal staff i am paying salary from my personal account.
As an Individual i don't have TAN number.
I just wanted to know that whether TDS provisions will be applicable in future, if yes then how to manage the same.

18 January 2023 No TDS liability in your case.
If you are businessman having specific turnover for audit liability, then only TDS deduction liability arises... that too for the expenditure carried over business activity.

16 February 2023 What will be implication on the person who receives Salary which is above exemption limit?
Will he further will be liable to pay advance tax as per the Act. And if he defaults in complying the norms, will there be any liability on Owner?

16 February 2023 Unless the payer is liable to deduct TDS, i.e. individuals liable to tax audit in preceding year, the employer will not deduct TDS.
Yes, person having net tax liability of Rs. 10,000/- or more is liable to pay advance tax.

01 May 2024 No. for domestic helper, when the salary paid from personal account, no PT liability.
