19 May 2012 Sir, While issuing TDS certificate to our staffs, the net total income is Rs.1,08,000/- where as basic exemption is Rs.1,80,000/-. but we deducted Tax from him Rs.10,000/-. In TDS certificate what should i fill for s.no. 12 Tax on total income?

21 May 2012 but sir, his total income doesn't exceeds basic limit, even should we shown the TDS amount as Tax on total income on TDS certificate S. No. 12?

21 May 2012 Tax on total income shall be shown as NIL. Tax deducted will be shown as Rs. 10,000 and refund of Rs. 10,000 shall arise.
