Please let me know about the procedure to calculate tax on employee's salary of he/ she joins the organisation in between of the financial year.

Also If employee deny to furnish his/ her previous emplyer salary detail then how we can calculate the tax on salary?

21 November 2008 Please calculate the salary proposed to pay the employee for hte remaining part of the financial year and apply the slab rate of income applicable to the individual.

21 November 2008 Calculate the whole year proposed salary with apply the rates of Income Tax and if he/she not furnish the details deduct the tax from the monthly salary.

21 November 2008 If there was no deduction in his/ her previous organisation and when employee club the income of both organisation and comes under the tax liability then is it the current employer's liability to deduct the tax on whole year earnings. if year then what will be the procedure.

25 November 2008 Regarding second part of your query, take administrative action. Particular employee would have made tall claims before joining your Company which can perhaps be known by getting in touch with your HR Dept.
