21 December 2011 Can a employer accept declaration of advance tax or self assessment tax from the employee and deduct lower deduction on salary..??

21 December 2011 In my view Advance tax paid by an assessee should be accepted by the employer on submission of actual challan. But so far self assessment tax is concerned it is paid after the completion of FY but the liability to deduct tax comes during the FY when the payment of salary is made to employee....

21 December 2011 Could you please highlight some case laws in respect of advance tax. Also, while filing eTDS Return for quarter 4, how the effect of advance tax will be given

22 December 2011 For filing eTDS return effect of advance tax will not be given.

Only the actual figure of deduction of TDS will be mentioned after adjusting amount of advance tax.
