if i am getting monthly salary 20000 i am eligible to deduct tds on salary under income tax act

Monthly salary Rs.20000 means yearly Rs.2.40 lakhs. you are crossing the exemption limit so tax may be deducted. how ever some basic exemption like Conveyance, HRA,PF,etc. may reduce your tax
