11 January 2012 suppose gross salary for a month is rs.25250 and it includes t.a. of rs.800. GPF deductions from gross salary are of rs.5000. my query is that which amt. is to be taken in (taxable amount on which tax is deducted) column of annexure I of 24q
1. 25250-800-5000 = 19450
or
2. 25250-800 = 24450
or any other figure

11 January 2012 Taxable amount comes after providing Chapter VIA deduction. So its 19450.

11 January 2012 if the salary is same for all 12 months then total amt of salary in annexure II of 24q should be
1) 19450 * 12 =233400
or
2)24450 * 12 =293400
if the rply is 1st one then can total amount of salary be a different figure from the total of (taxable amount on which tax is deducted) figure for all 4 qtrs.
