A client of mine has to pay quarry rent (onetime) of Rs 3.5 crore to the 100% Educational Trust registered under Trust & Societies Act.

whether such payment of rent to Educational Trust subject to TDS?

If yes then at what rate?

01 December 2009 TDS is applicable.... as per rates given by Mr. Huzaifabhai Currently TDS on Rent u/s 194I is 10% Other Rents (Land, Building, Furniture, etc.) does matter receiver is ind.huf or other... and one morething that No surchare and Edu.cess on TDS..ok
