Tds on non resident salary

We have to issue Salary to out Foreign Director from January of Rs 2 Lacs per month.

Ie for 3 months 6 lacs.

Kindly suggest how much we have to deduct TDS and Filing of ETDS

i presume the person receiving salary is a NR in that case u need not deduct any tax in India because salary income is not chargeable to tax in India. A better reply may be given if details as to country in which the person is residing is made available.

He is risiding in UK, and he is not having PAN card.

He will visit to india once in three months and stay for 3days.

In a year 30 days he will be in india.

Kindly suggest.

12 February 2012 It seems that Salary is paid towards his visits to India and looking after company's
work in India. In such a case salary income arises to him in India and TDS will have to be deducted U/s 192. He should also apply for PAN Card. Tax rates applicable to a Resident Individual will apply.
