An Educational institution taken a land on leased for 100 years, Hence they paid non refundable amount of Rs.45,00,000 to landlord as Goodwill and further, in their agreement also agreed to paid a 15 lakhs refundable deposit with monthly lease rental of Rs.8000/-. Whether this non refundable goodwill treated as intangible assets or it should be amortised over period of lease or education institutes liable to make TDS on goodwill payment?
