I want to under what section I am suppose to deduct tax on Data Processing Charges? The Consignor is an individual.

Thanks a lot for your reply.

I am extremely sorry I have not clearing described my query. It is in the following lines : I have some of the data in physical form or in some format which my client is not able to understand easily so am engaging someone outsider who does the work of data entry in system so that I can present the same to my client.

So I beleive it doesnot involve any technical or professional work.

You are right. It is Service Contract. Pls deduct TDS u/s. 194C.

Your liability to deduct TDS arise in case your Individual/huf, if in previous year your liable to Tax Audit. In other cases you have to deduct tax
