Tds interest notice u/s 200a

15 February 2016 Dear Experts,

Our company has got the TDS Notice u/s 200A for Interest for Q3 and also showing on TDS Traces Site. We downloaded the Justification Report and found that our calculation of interest on late payment was correct, but in justification report, interest calculation is wrong so that demand of interest raised. Now want to know that how can we correct it and reply against notice received.

Further we had downloaded the TDS return for Q3 and after that this demand raised. If this interest is paid and also online correction of TDS statement is done, then want to know, is it required to again download the fresh TDS certificates for that quarter?

16 February 2016 No need to download TDS certificates again as due to this correction TDS credit to deductee's wont change

If you feel interest calculation is wrong write a letter to Assessing officer(TDS) to rectify wrong demand

16 February 2016 You need to submit letter manually explaining what was mistake commited by TRACES
