TDS From payment to Transporter

As per recent amendmends no TDS is to be deducted from payment made to transporter if he furnishes his PAN No. I want to know whether the entry needs to be shown in TDS return although amount of TDS is NIL.

not required but you have to assemble the pan no of all your transpoters as it department may ask for pan no of transporter through a separate retrun form which is yet to notify by them
so its better you have collection of pan no of transporter though no details required in tds quaterly returns
